Found out that I can subscribe to having an iPhone (or Android phone) for a year for about $45 per month. And then after 12 months I’m either buying it cheaper, giving it back or exchanging it for a newer model. It’s actually interesting idea, paying $45 per month just to have the newest phone without actually the hassle of buying one every year and selling too. I’m debating with myself if this is something I would like to experience but it doesn’t seem dumb.
@pawel is there any insurance added for cases like broken screen, flooded phone etc?
Also 540$/year for renting mobile sounds like a no brainer for me. (with the answer of "NO" ;-) )
@wikiyu yep, full insurance included!
@pawel, if you’re considering Phox, I’d advise against it. They require access to your bank account for verification, but they don’t use API; instead, they log in on your behalf
@franciszek fortunately not, but thanks, I wasn’t aware that this could happen
@franciszek @pawel WTF? Do they ask for credentials?
@szymonzielonka yep, to verify your “ability to rent a phone” they are using transactionlink gateway. The problem is, you need to provide them with your login and password to your online banking system for them to check your credibility. They even ask you to accept login trial in your app
